Dr. Turner and Linda Messenger

Over 150 community members, Katy Trail Community Health board and staff members honored Dr. Ivette Turner, Chief Medical Officer for her dedication to our organization, our community and our patients.

Dr. Turner was presented Trail Blazer Award at KTCH’s annual meeting on March 24 by Katy Trail Board Member, Linda Messenger. Dr. Turner has served as Chief Medical Officer at Katy Trail Community Health since February 2006.

In her position, Dr. Turner was responsible for insuring the quality of care delivered at both the Sedalia and Warsaw sites. She hired and trained the physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. She provided critical leadership as we developed a primary care model designed to provide high quality comprehensive care to residents of Benton and Pettis Counties. Dr. Turner led KTCH to grow and provide services to over 9,000 people in 2010.

Katy Trail Community Health is nonprofit federally qualified community health center with locations in Sedalia and Warsaw. Our mission is to serve as the primary health care home for people in our service area regardless of ability to pay. Katy Trail is governed by a 13 member board of directors, over half of whom are patients of the health center.
